Dawn Perryman (Banyandah Alpacas) is an Alpaca Consultant and seller of garments and products made from alpaca fleece.
Dawn has been in the industry since 1994, breeding and selling both huacaya and suri animals. Her knowledge and experience with alpacas allows her to offer advice and assistance to those new in the industry or in need of help.
Dawn farmed her herd of 70-80 alpacas in the Gympie area of SE Queensland, breeding show quality animals, both white and a variety of colours.
Dawn learned to spin the same week she purchased her first alpaca, and undertook and completed several agricultural TAFE courses, including Organic Farming, Wool Classing and Alpaca Production. This followed a successful scientific career.
After over 20 years experience in the industry Dawn has sold her farm ,but is available as an alpaca consultant to provide advice. Anyone who has purchased alpacas from Dawn can continue to contact Dawn for free on-going after-sales advice. New customers can benefit from experienced consultancy advice on the purchase, management and showing of these beautiful animals, the cost of consultancy depends on the customer's specific requirements.
Dawn has huacaya and suri fleece in a range of natural colours for sale. Some fleeces have been dyed (alpacas do not come in red, blue, green, pink, orange or purple etc) Also, there are some carded products, suitable for spinning and/or felting, commercially prepared suri rovings, both natural colours and hand dyed.
